Rude, cheating driver. Terrible customer service and obscene threats from management as well.

This is one of the worst taxi services I have ever had, and I have traveled all over the world and seen some pretty awful services. This one beats them all, hands. down. The taxi driver who was supposed to wait for us and was charging us for two hours of wait, was nowhere to be found. This was at 11 in the pm at night, in Coimbatore, an Indian city we weren't even familiar with. What followed was a miserable one hour ordeal, trying to find out where the hell the driver disappeared. We didn't have a mobile phone, that was the entire reason why we wanted the driver to wait for us. So that we didn't have to call someone after we got done. Finally, after we borrowed phones from a kind soul, we called a relative who then called Abi travels and the driver. Apparently he'd been out "eating" for the last two hours, yeah right! Likely he was taking on more clients while being on the hour on our dime. When we asked him where he'd disappeared, he rudely claimed he was hungry and he had to eat and that we had to pay for his wait time still. By the time we got back, he was yelling and screaming at us, hoping we'd cow down and pay up. We didn't budge and simply left the money for the fare minus the wait pay on his backseat (Rs 425---about 10 more than what the meter showed). His boss on the phone was just as obstinate and had no concept of customer service, who in turn tried to make excuses and demanded money for services not rendered. Not only that, the driver hounded us to our relatives house--calling us in the wee hours, upto 1 AM. His supervisor then called our relative in the morning, using foul language and yelling at us. He said he'd call the police, and our relative who is friends with police commissioner, dared him to do so and finally hung up. A company's performance is determined by how they resolve complaints, and this place failed miserably at that. Our experience in India was marred by this pathetic and aggravating experience. Never again!
